Gadkari launches national highway projects worth Rs 3000 crore in Andhra Pradesh

New Delhi, Sep 22 (PTI) Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday launched national highway projects worth Rs 3,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh. This information has been given in an official statement.

On completion of these highway projects, the new road will connect Kakinada SEZ, SEZ Port, Fishing Harbor and Kakinada Anchorage Port.

This will facilitate export of rice, seafood, iron ore, bio-fuel and granite through Kakinada port.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister of Road Transport and Highways said that the projects include construction of five flyovers.

Other projects include four-laning of Vakalapudi-Uppada-Annavaram and Samarlakota-Achampeta Junction and two-laning of Rampachodavaram to Koyyuru.
