Flight operations will remain suspended at Mumbai airport for six hours on October 18
Mumbai airport has two ‘intersecting’ runways. About 800 flights operate from here every day. This makes it the second busiest airport after Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Airport operator Adani Group said it plans to close both the runways from 11 am to 5 pm on October 18 for maintenance work.
The Adani Group holds a 74 per cent stake in the joint venture that operates the Mumbai airport.
The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMI) said flights have been rescheduled to carry out maintenance works smoothly.
