Finance ministry will start special campaign for financial inclusion from October 15

New Delhi, Oct 2 (PTI) The Finance Ministry will launch a special financial inclusion drive from October 15 to achieve a satisfactory level of bank accounts and to expand the coverage of Kisan Credit Cards to more eligible people.

The Finance Ministry tweeted that this campaign will run from October 15 to November 26. In this, special attention will be given to linking existing accounts with mobile and Aadhar numbers and to complete the process of ‘Know Your Customer’.

The tweet further read, “The Ministry of Finance will organize a special campaign from 15 October to 26 November 2022 to take forward the process of financial inclusion. It started at the gram panchayat level in six districts of India – Cuttack (Odisha), Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Pune (Maharashtra), Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh), Kaushambi (Uttar Pradesh), Datia (Madhya Pradesh) and Barpeta (Assam). Will go.

The campaign will focus on achieving satisfactory level of bank accounts, insurance/pension scheme for eligible people.
